Museo Balenciaga en Getaria

¿Alguien cree todavía que la moda no es arte? El pasado 10 de junio se inauguró el Museo Balenciaga en Getaria (Gupuzkoa), donde se han unidoe el arte y la moda para ofrecer a sus visitantes colecciones únicas del genial modisto Cristobal Balenciaga, natural de Getaria. Desde su inauguración hasta la fecha se han cumplido y sobrepasado todas las expectativas, y se puede decir que sus primeros meses de vida han sido un éxito total: a principios de octubre, es decir, en cuatro meses, el Museo ya había superado la barrera de los 50.000 visitantes.

Dándonos un paseo por las salas del museo podremos disfrutar de un total de 1200 piezas del genial artista, siendo sin lugar a dudas la mayor colección de Balenciaga en el mundo y una de las más importantes.

El museo lo encontraremos en un anexo al Palacio Aldamar, en una colina que corona el municipio costero de Getaria. Si tenéis pensado visitar el Museo os recomiendo que os deis también un paseo por Getaria, conocido por su característico perfil de ratón (desde la playa de Zarautz se puede ver fácilmente).

Por último, también os recomiendo que no os vayáis de Getaria sin saborear su famoso txakoli, un vino blanco, joven y afrutado que está ganando cada vez más adeptos. Si estáis interesados en conocer de cerca la elaboración y los procesos que se siguen para la elaboración del txakoli, en Getaria hay varias bodegas, y en algunas organizan visitas guiadas, como por ejemplo en Ameztoi o o Urki.
